As of May 20, 2019, we’re officially, really, actually, truly, legit 100% fully funded!

Research shows that only 15% of missionaries who start the support raising process actually finish it and get to the field. I learned this statistic after we began the process, so it was too late to second guess our decision – we had already stepped into that ocean. And praise God, after a year of small, consistent, incremental miracles, the ocean is fully parted! On the other side of the ocean? Ohio! We’re planning on renting a U-Haul box truck and starting our official move on Thursday, May 30th.

It’s so incredible to think this part of the process is actually over. I’ve had many people tell me that raising that much money is impossible. I agreed (usually silently in the back of my mind) and yet I knew that it was exactly what God wanted us to do. So we put one foot in front of the other, repeatedly, and God did the rest. We praise Him and thank Him for his unrelenting mercy. I would like to say that we deserve it because we’re awesome people who always had a plan and pursued it with courage. Truth be told, some weeks I didn’t even read my Bible or pray at all, I was so discouraged and prayer didn’t seem to be helping much (at the moment). Yet, despite my bad attitude, God would still blow our doors off with a miracle just when we desperately needed one. So first of all, God is the author of this story.

Also, our supporters are indispensable part of God’s plan. Thank you for being so generous and for obeying His prompting to give, many times repeatedly. We never could do this without you and we hope to give you a return on your investment by being effective at our calling.

Thank you.

This is just the beginning of something awesome. I know it’s going to be awesome because God is putting it together. I can’t wait to see where this story takes us. Thank you for being part of it!

With Gratitude,

Josh
